I've started reading a philosophy of mind book.
This is good for me.
Maybe it sounds stupid, but I often think I chose philosophy because it gave me tools I didn't have. Not tools to turn any sentence into lots of strange symbols (though it did give me that "tool"), but tools of how reminding myself the importance of emotional distance.
I care too much, particularly about those who love me. Keeping philosophy "fresh" in my mind helps me maintain a healthy distance.
So reading philosophy is good for me; and hey, I enjoy it.
Now if only I had people to talk to about what I'm reading.
I can't have everything.
Emotional distance = good. What I need right now.
I'm trying to regain my old self...
